Refund & Print Policy

All products are custom-made to order. Policy terms below explain approvals, defects, reprints, and refund eligibility.

Custom Production Policy

All products produced by 1170 Designs are custom-made to order. Because of the personalized nature of printing and embroidery services, all sales are final unless there is a confirmed production error on our end.

We do not offer refunds for:

  • Customer-provided artwork errors
  • Spelling mistakes in approved proofs
  • Incorrect sizing selected by customer
  • Color differences due to screen variations
  • Change-of-mind after production has started

Artwork Approval

Customers are responsible for reviewing and approving all artwork proofs before production.

Once artwork is approved:

  • The design, spelling, layout, and sizing are considered final
  • 1170 Designs is not responsible for errors overlooked during approval

If you are unsure about your artwork, we strongly recommend requesting a proof review before final approval.

Print Variations

Due to the nature of custom printing and embroidery:

  • Slight color variations may occur between digital proofs and final prints
  • Placement may vary slightly by garment size
  • Garment brands and dye lots may differ slightly

These are normal production variations and do not qualify for refunds.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive an item that is damaged or contains a verified production defect:

  • You must notify us within 5 business days of receiving your order
  • Provide clear photos of the issue
  • Keep all original items until review is complete

If the issue is confirmed to be our error, we will reprint the item at no additional cost or issue store credit at our discretion.

Refunds are not guaranteed and are evaluated case by case.

Turnaround & Rush Orders

Turnaround times are estimates and not guarantees unless explicitly stated in writing.

Rush orders:

  • May include additional fees
  • Are non-refundable once production begins

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Shipping carriers
  • Weather
  • Incomplete artwork submissions
  • Late approvals

Cancellations

Orders may only be canceled before production begins.

Once production has started, orders cannot be canceled or refunded.

Design, setup, or digitizing fees are non-refundable.

Customer-Supplied Garments

If customers provide their own garments:

  • We are not responsible for garment defects
  • We are not responsible for damage during the print process
  • Misprints on customer-supplied garments will not be refunded

We recommend using garments sourced directly through us whenever possible.

Embroidery Digitizing Fees

Digitizing fees are one-time setup charges to convert artwork into a stitch-ready file. These fees are non-refundable.

UV & Large Format Printing

Due to material differences and surface variables:

  • Customers are responsible for confirming material compatibility
  • Test prints may be recommended for specialty materials
  • Slight texture variations are normal
